Questions and answers
Straight answers about roadside diesel repair, what we work on and where we go.
Calling for help
How quickly can you respond to emergency repair calls?
We respond promptly and get out on the road as fast as we can to get you back on the road. Arrival time depends on where you are and what is already on the schedule, so call (864) 804-1438 and we will tell you what to expect.
What should I have ready when I call?
Have your location ready, including the highway, direction of travel and the nearest mile marker or exit. Then the truck year, make and model, what the truck is doing, any warning lights or fault codes on the dash, and a phone number where we can reach you.
Are you open nights, weekends and holidays?
Yes. Diesel Rx offers 24/7 emergency repair service. If you need immediate help, call us anytime, any day.
Do you speak languages other than English?
Yes. We proudly speak English, Russian, Polish and Lithuanian. If it is easier to explain the problem in one of those languages, do that.
What we work on
What types of diesel trucks do you work on?
We work on all types of diesel trucks, from light-duty to heavy-duty. We service any brand, regardless of the make or model.
Do you offer fleet service?
Yes. We come to your yard on a schedule you set and complete repairs on site. Every visit includes a check of your other vehicles, so we can tell you what is coming due and suggest when each unit should be serviced next.
Do you repair heavy equipment?
Yes. We repair diesel heavy equipment on the job site, including excavators, loaders, dozers, backhoes, skid steers and dump trucks. Call (864) 804-1438 with the machine, the location and what it is doing.
What repairs do you handle?
Engine diagnostics and repair, brakes, tires, electrical work, transmission, suspension and steering, exhaust systems, DOT inspections, oil and filter changes, preventative maintenance, heavy equipment repair and emergency roadside repairs.
What can be repaired roadside and what needs a shop?
Most breakdowns can be repaired where the truck sits, including air leaks, brake components, tires, batteries, starters, alternators, belts, hoses, sensors and lights. Jobs that need a lift or major teardown, such as internal engine work or a transmission rebuild, need a shop. We tell you which it is up front.
Do you do DOT inspections?
Yes. We perform DOT inspections on commercial diesel trucks, and we can repair the defects an inspection turns up. Federal rules require a periodic inspection at least once every 12 months.
